BLOG TOUR- Crashed by Danielle Elwood

Title: Crashed
Author: Danielle A. Elwood

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Emily Taylor is a twenty-six year old event planner who has made a career out of dating; with the majority of it ending up as a complete nightmare. She is driven, motivated, and rising to the top in her career…but not in her love life. However, a random car accident will change her life forever.

Avery Martin is a country boy stuck in the city working his dream job of being a fire fighter. Over the years he has given up a lot, including dating, to focus on his career. Responding to a car accident one day he becomes overly involved with the woman he is rescuing.

Will these two find love, or will amnesia cost them the future they might have had?

Ariana's Review:

5 SUPER HUGE STARS!!!!

Ok, if you are like me and check out the ratings and reviews before reading a book then you may have passed on this one. And if you did, you may want to kick yourself in the ass for that! Honestly, I am completely dumbfounded as to where any of those negative reviews came from with this book. I cannot express enough how AMAZING Crashed was! When I began reading I was very uncertain as to what I should expect. The synopsis did not hook me in, the negative ratings had me down, and I knew nothing of the author. However, not only did this book spark my interest from the time I opened it, but I could not put it down! I finished within 24 hours (and that is with having two very sick 2 year olds at home all day). Danielle has certainly found a new HUGE fan in me!

The story began with Emily. Two years ago she had lost her parents in a car crash, and right after her boyfriend had left her with no reason as to why. One morning she had woken up late for work, and on her way in a pickup truck crashed into the side of her car causing it to flip. Emily was trapped. Avery was one of the firefighters who had shown up to the scene of Emily's accident. He helped pull her from the wreck, and rode with her as the paramedics brought her to the hospital. From the moment their eyes met there was an instant connection. Later that evening Avery brought her dinner and they talked for hours. Since that night they were almost inseparable (except when he had to work). The chemistry between those two (both sexual and non sexual) was undeniable from the very first moment.

Avery had to be one of the sweetest male characters in any of the books I have read. The things he did for this girl that he barely knew had me melting into the ground. The early part of the book was very fun and lighthearted. Just the simple interactions between Avery and Emily had me grinning from ear to ear. Every woman should have her own Avery (and it definitely didn't hurt that he was a hottie in a uniform either). I swear my heart skipped a beat every few pages with the things that he did and said! *SWOON*

"Are you real? Will you disappear before I wake up?" she whispered.
"I'll be here to kiss you good morning," he whispered back running his fingers through her hair.

Avery's grandmother- oh my god was she hilarious! She was quite full of spunk for an older woman! Not only that, but she was completely kick-ass too! I nearly spit out my water when I read about the part where Emily and Becca (her best friend) decided to watch Magic Mike with the grandmother!!!

Then there is Jarred, her ex, who just keeps popping up and who becomes creepier and creepier as the story goes on. Seriously what is his deal?!? I really couldn't stand his character (which I am pretty sure was the point lol), but the story would not have been the same if it were not for his character. Talk about a total creeper!

Crashed was such a fun read! It was a little bit of suspense, a lot of romance, a handful of laughter all thrown into this amazing story. You can't help but fall in love with the characters. It had me smiling, laughing, heart racing, and holding my breath. there were quite a few unexpected OMG moments too! You do NOT want to miss this book!

There were quite a few things I was able to relate to in this book, however I cannot discuss them without giving away some spoilers. If you have already read this story, I would love to hear your thoughts!
