Tour: Wicked Innocence by Missy Johnson

Synopsis:
Don’t let my petite and innocent appearance fool you, because I’m one person you don’t want to cross. I’m Micah, the youngest member of Resurrection…If only they knew how young. My fake ID says I’m twenty-one.
And I will be…in four years.
What can I say? I blossomed early. Home sucked, so I left, determined to do something with my life.
Landing the gig as lead vocalist in the band was a dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make something of myself and nothing is going to ruin that for me.
Then He showed up.
He’s hot as hell and so into me. But he’s also twenty-five.
I don’t want to lie to him, but if the truth comes out I’ll lose everything, including him.

 ✯✯4 Deceitful Stars!!✯✯

This is my first book by Missy Johnson and it won't be my last. I was hooked from the synopsis. There was a lot I liked in this book. There was also stuff I didn't like and somethings that weren't explained 100% of the way. So, at times I was disappointed.

At the age of 14 Micah needed to run away and start a new life for herself. But, how can she do that at her age? Easy pay for a new life. One where she is 18.

Fast forward a few years. Micah has a job, a car, an apartment and friends. Her life is good. Her friends think she's 21 even though she's only 17. Luckily for her she doesn't look 17 so she was able to fool everyone.

Micah has always loved music. It reminds her of her father. So, when the lead singer position for her favorite group Resurrection opened up she jumped at the chance. Just when she thought she bombed. She was able to get them to change their minds. There's just one more obstacle in the way from being the lead singer for her favorite band. She has to impress their manager tomorrow night. Easy, right?

Micah wasn't expecting the manager to be non other then Saxon Waite. The guy she on her posters all over her room when she was younger. He fell out of the spotlight a few years ago. At the top of his singing career drugs, alcohol & women got the better of him. He hasn't been seen that much since.

Sax and Micah have an instant connection!! It's noticeable to anyone within 100ft of each other. But, they both have their guards up. Ironically for the same reason. AGE!! Sax doesn't like that she's 4 years younger then him. And, he's really trying to make this whole manager thing work. Micah knows she's only 17 and doesn't want to get Sax in trouble.

Sax takes Micah under his wing. Trying to get her all up to date with the bands songs and about making them hers.

Sax gets the band signed up to do a small tour. Basically, trying to get Micah used to singing with the band and visa verse and also her in front of a larger crowd. Now, if that was the only issue. There's a lot of issues between Sax & Henry. They're cousins and definitely do not see eye to eye. Those 2 have a bunch of unresolved issues they need to deal with.

No matter how much Sax & Micah try to stay as far away from each other. It seems like fate has other plans for these two. Micah can't help but feel horrible for lying about her age to him and everyone else. Finally, these two give in to their feelings.

Then, unexpectedly Micah's past comes back out of nowhere! Now, both Sax & Micah have to figure out what to do next with the information.

Now, as much as I liked this book. I really wish I know what happened to Micah from the ages 14 to 17. I'd love to know how got to where she did today. I really wish I also knew when Sax found out the truth about Micah how he came up with his decision. Like how do you adamantly say something for so long. Then, just kind of whatever. I also wish Missy let us know when Micah's 18th birthday actually was!! Now, I know it says this is a standalone. Missy did leave it open for another book in the epilogue. I'm praying there will be more!!

About Missy Johnson

Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).
When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
