✯Review✯ Never Too Late (Willow Creek #2)by Micalea Smeltzer

Synopsis

I’d never met anyone quite like Mathias Wade.
He was brooding and arrogant, but I loved him anyway.
Together we were wild and uncontained—a hurricane raging.
Then I had to leave, and words were exchanged that could never be undone.
But now I was back, and Mathias better watch out, because this bitch wasn’t finished with him.
Game. Set. Match.
All is fair in love and war, right?

Mathias Wade, the lead singer of Willow Creek, is used to getting everything he wants. Except for Remy Parker—the one that got away. Childhood friends that grew into more, Remy was the one constant in his life until she moved away. In anger, he lashed out and broke the only girl he ever loved. With temptation around every corner Mathias drowns his sorrow in women and alcohol. When the band returns to their hometown for the holidays the last thing Mathias expects is to run into Remy—but she’s back, and she’s not done with him.

Remy never forgot Mathias or the pain he caused her. When she moves back to the place she grew up to take care of her ailing grandma her heart is set on revenge. She’s determined to make Mathias fall in love with her all over again—only this time she’s going to break his heart.

But Mathias never stopped loving Remy—and she soon discovers that her feelings haven’t disappeared either.

Can two people too stubborn for their own good overcome their own demons and find the love they always deserved?

 ✯✯5 Second Chance Stars!!✯✯

Finally!! I read Last To Know and fell in love with Maddox Wade. Then, I found out he had a brother. Not just any brother but a twin brother. Mathias Wade and he is nothing like his twin. In any way. Mathias is a no nonsense kind of guy. Says what's on his mind. He has no problem getting woman. But, you'll never see the same one twice.

Remy and Mathias started off as friends until they started feeling more. Mathias and his brother had terrible childhoods. Mathias got it worse then his brother. He never talked about it with anyone not even Maddox. Except for Remy. Mathias told her things he never told anyone. Remy loved Mathias with everything she had. Nothing that he told her could change it. Until her parents tell her they're moving. Mathias doesn't take it good. At all. He looses it. I mean Mathias looses it. He wants her to break the same way he is broken. Mathias wins.

Years later Remy can still hear everything Mathias Wade said to her. She still can't get over it. It doesn't help that he's the lead singer in the hottest band Willow Creek. His face is everywhere and his voice is on every radio station. Remy can't get away.

Now, her grandmother's health isn't 100% so she moves in to keep an eye on her. Remy is back in the town she never wanted to step foot in again. She feels Mathias everywhere she goes. Remy has a plan. If she see's Mathias she plans on breaking his heart like hers.

Mathias def doesn't make things easy for Remy. Remy doesn't make things easy for Mathias either. These 2 are so much alike yet they are perfect for each other. I really liked Remy. She was somebody who was stronger then she looked. Remy was not afraid to tell you what was on her mind. She was quick to put you in your place. Yet, she had a very big and caring heart. Remy was also very broken. I broke for Remy. Mathias was a guy who was very understood. He was not what everyone thought he was. Yes, Mathias was loud, outspoken and was a no holds barred type of guy. But, he was gentle and had  a heart. He just chose not to show it to anyone but Remy.  What happens now that they are back together. Face to face.

Once I got this book I could not and did not put it down until it was finished. I really loved Remy and Mathias. Micalea has a way of making you love her characters. No joke she always gives me a grandparent that I fall in love with. This book was no different. Remy grandmother I fell in love with her. She had me laughing every time she opened her mouth. There was a lot of stuff between Remy & Mathias that had to be said and dealt with. This book took such a toll on me emotionally. You have no idea. It will have you laughing one minute and crying the next. You will root for Remy & Mathias the whole time. I am dying for Ezra & Sadie's story.
