Value, worth—these are things I don’t have. College degree, great job—none of that matters if you look in the mirror and can’t find anything to love. Structure, dedication, and determination are the traits that Candace Jones has survived and thrived on. When no one cares at home, it takes her self-drive to push and work her way through college. Life is funny while you’re growing up, and adulthood isn’t any easier than childhood. Little girl dreams are often destroyed before they can even begin. Lance ‘Rush’ Miller works hard and plays even harder. He lives life from one adrenaline rush to the next, from working as a roughneck to trick riding his street bike. He has it made and knows it. What happens when firm resolve crashes into wild abandon? Two complete opposites are thrown together when Candace finds herself in need of a quick escape that Lance is all too willing to give her.

4-4.5 Stars
Another cute short story from Chelsea Camaron. I really enjoyed how the Heroine, Candace (Ace), was not the usual skinny girl you read about in the books. She had extra weight (Probably around my size) and it was nice reading about a girl like her finding love with one of the "hot" guys. I love how she was still this beautiful and intelligent woman, and how she was seen by Lance for just that.
I was able to relate to her character more than that of other female characters as I too struggle with accepting my weight, and also with eating. Today's society puts so much stress on being thin as a twig, that any woman who isn't a size zero is made to feel as if she is fat. We put so much stress on a person's size, we tend to overlook the beauty that is inside, which is really what makes a person who they are. In Lance and Ace's story, it showed that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes…just the way it should be.

Lance was sweet and fun. His love for Ace shone through, and I really loved how he didn't give up on her, or pressure her into anything she was not comfortable with. He always treated her as if she was the absolute most beautiful girl in the world. Although he did push her out of her comfort zone a few times, it was done out of love to show her how beautiful she really was to him. In so many ways it was like he saved her. From her ex, from her parents, and from herself. Oh and to top it all off, Lance was sexy as hell.

One thing I would of liked to have seen from this story was more about Lance and his trick riding. This played a decent part on the story, and it is something I enjoy watching in real life, so I would have loved to see a bit more of this, but that is just personal preference.
I also would have liked to see what had become of Ace's relationship with her parents…did she continue to have contact? Did she cut ties? Their actions were inexcusable… parents should want the best for their children, not belittle them and put them down their whole life. Her mother was the opposite of supportive, and one of the main causes of Ace's self esteem issues.

This was def a cute, relatable read that made me smile. I really wish it had been a little longer (just like the other shorts in this series) simply because I love the characters <3

About the Author
Chelsea Camaron - author
Chelsea Camaron was born and raised in Coastal North Carolina. She currently resides in Southern Louisiana with her husband and two children but her heart is always Carolina day dreaming. Chelsea always wanted to be a writer, but like most of us, let fear of the unknown grab a hold of her dream. She realized that if she was going to tell her daughter to go for her dreams, that it was time to follow her own advice. Chelsea grew up turning wrenches alongside her father, and from that grew her love for old muscle cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, which just so happened to inspire the Love and Repair and Hellions Ride series. When she is not spending her days writing you can find her playing with her kids, attending car shows, going on motorcycle rides on the back of her husband’s Harley, snuggling down with her new favorite book or watching any movie that Vin Diesel might happen to be in.
