 ✯✯5 Broken Stars!!✯✯

I can not believe I waited so long to read this book. I could kick myself! Once I picked up this book and read the prologue I was hooked. My heart broke for Allyn. Margaret gave such details to Allyn's rape and torture that I cried.

Allyn Sommers went to work like any other day. She was alone due to a virus spreading through the stores. She's waiting for her boss to show up and relieve her. All day she'd had a gut feeling that something was wrong. But, she just kept saying it was from the dark grey clouds. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

Allyn heads to the back to find a dress for the customers girlfriend. Next think Allyn knows she's being knocked out. When Allyn wakes up she can't see but she can hear men voices. They are beating her and raping her. Over and over. Three days later she wakes up and was left for dead.

Three years later and Allyn wishes she was dead. Since she got released from the hospital she has not left her house. Only her parents and therapist are allowed in. Allyn was left scarred, broken and both physically and emotionally damaged. There are no mirrors in her house. She has the best security system.

It doesn't matter how good the security system she has. Allyn can not get those voices out of her head. She closes her eyes and she can hear and feel everything those guys did to her. They were never caught. Allyn feels like she can never move on because she's afraid they'll comeback to finish the job they started.

One afternoon when the black started to take Allyn over, she turned on her TV. There was a talk show on. It had 3 girls who had been kidnapped, raped and held hostage for years. They'd been free for a few months and doing so well. The girls had been seeing Dr.Dominic Shriver and he'd done wonders to help them move forward with their lives.

Allyn was ready to try to start seeing colors. Not just black and beige. She made the call to Dominic. After 5 minutes on the phone with her he knew she needed saving. Dominic drove to Allyn's house and for days he spent sitting on her front porch talking to her through a closed door.

Allyn took a huge step to recovery. After talking/getting to know Dominic she wanted color in her life, to move on. She opened her front door. Which is a huge huge huge step for Allyn and the way she'd been living for the last three years.

Dominic always knew how to get Allyn to talk and open up. He'd never push her or expect a time frame for anything. He saw her for the beautiful woman she is. Little by little Allyn was opening up and healing. The longer and  more time Dominic and Allyn spend together the closer they are getting. They are having feelings for each other. But, are trying to push them away being doctor/patient relationships are not allowed.

Of course they can't fight it. Allyn has finally fought some of her hard demons. Allyn has started leaving her house. Just when I thought things were going to be good. Two people show up. One from Dominic's past. And, one from Allyn's. How will they handle it. Can they move on? Will it break them permanently.

I literally read this in 1 day. I couldn't put it down. There were so many times I sat there and cried from what happened to Allyn. Her dreams or her anxiety attacks broke me. I remember working at a tanning salon always alone. And, what happened to Allyn was always one of my worst nightmares. I was always afraid what happened to her would happen to me, ESP because I was alone. Margaret made me feel everything Allyn went through. Then, she gave us the multiple epilogues and I loved them. While some people didn't like it. Me. I was glad that Dominic, Allyn and everyone else got the ending they deserved!!
