Things are about to get rocky for Dean Wentworth and Willow Wade.

Willow Wade is used to living in the spotlight, with her father a famous drummer in the band Willow Creek—her namesake—it’s been a lot to live up to and oftentimes she doesn’t feel she’s enough. But there has always been one person she could turn to.

Dean Wentworth knows a thing or two about how crippling a name can be. His family is worth billions after all. But Dean’s always been content to do his own thing. Play his guitar. Work on cars. And geek out to his various “nerdoms”.

But when Willow turns up unexpectedly, he realizes maybe there is more in life he wants.

Her.

One trip will change their lives forever.

                 ✯ 5 Bright Stars!!!✯ ✯

This is a brand new series from Micalea. The characters aren't so new. We've gotten 2 fantastic must read series from Micalea. Trace and Olivia was the first and she just finished The Willow Creek series. Now, their children are grown up and trying to figure out how to be an adult.

Willow Wade has finished her first year in college. She is more confused then when she first started. Her dad is the drummer in the very very popular music group Willow Creek. Hence her name being Willow. She's use to being thrown into the spotlight. People are just waiting for her to mess up. Willow was supposed to go on a road trip with her friends over her summer break. But, they ditched her to go to the Hampton. Now, Willow is headed home.

Willow goes in search of her lifelong best friend. Dean Wentworth. Willow and Dean have grown up together. Their families are very good friends. Like Willow, Dean's family comes from money. They aren't in the limelight like Willow. Dean works at his fathers shop working on cars. Dean suggests they go on the road trip together. Their journey starts from there and neither were prepared for what was coming.

If you read the Trace and Olivia series you know all about Dean's parents. Dean is definitely is parents son. Dean is a quiet laid back guy. He loves Pokemon and working on cars. Those are his loves. Dean has always had feelings for Willow but he's never acted on them.

Willow is a free spirit. She is the friend you have that is spontaneous never has a plan. She's kinda loud and can come off as immature at times. But what most people don't know is that Willow is sensitive and doesn't want to be followed by the paparazzi. College isn't for her. Willow thought if she went she'd figure out what she wanted to do. But, she's more confused now. The one things she does know is Dean has always been there for her. Dean knows how to calm Willow. He always knows when something is going on with Willow without her even saying a word.Willow is realizing her feelings for Dean aren't just friendly but something more.

I was super excited to read this book. I've loved Micalea's previous series. This was an excellent start to a brand new series. It's nice to see the characters all grown up. Or growing up. We got to see past characters and see what's up with them. Maddox is still crazy. More so now if you can believe that! This was a story about 2 lifelong friends who are finally giving their real feelings for each other. We see Willow finally take charge of her life and make decisions. This was a beautiful story. Micalea killed it. Liam's story is next and I can just imagine what kind of a ride that'll be.

Excerpt

Those bitches were gonna die.

That was a horrible thing to say about my so-called ‘friends’—and I used the word friends loosely, because true friends wouldn’t ditch you the day of your scheduled road trip because they’d rather be sunbathing in the Hamptons.

The fucking Hamptons.

Ew.

I mean, how clichéd could you get.

This was why I hated rich people.

It also sucked that I was one of those rich people.

Well, I wasn’t, but my dad was.

So by extension so was I.

When you grew up with a rock star for a dad, cameras and eyes followed you everywhere. It was exhausting.

I couldn’t just be Willow.

I was Willow Wade.

The daughter of the famous drummer Maddox Wade.

People expected greatness from me.

I just wanted to graduate college without slitting my wrists.
