✯Review✯Life in Reverse by Beth Michele

Synopsis

A second chance love story

Vance...

Ember Bennett was my beginning...but she was also the end.

She was my downfall.

And I never even saw her coming.

She didn’t burst into my life demanding to be noticed. Instead, she slipped in under my radar when I wasn’t looking. Caught me off guard.

I should have been paying better attention.

Because I found myself drawn to her. Her quirkiness, her laughter, her brutal honesty.

I didn’t ask for her. Still I found myself wanting her. Needing her. Craving her.

I just couldn’t have her.

Ember...

I was minding my own business when Vance Davenport showed up.

He wasn’t talking, yet somehow I heard him.

I wasn’t looking, but my eyes sought him out.

He became something I never expected.

Until it all changed.

Then he became someone I wanted to forget.

This is a New Adult Standalone Contemporary Romance

 ✯5 Mickey Mouse Sized Stars!!

Beth Michele has done it to me again! Whenever she tells me she has finished writing her latest book I get all giddy. There's never a book of hers that I read that doesn't get me all emotional. This was no different. If anything it got to me a lil more just thinking of my grandma.

Both Vance and Ember are dealing with loosing someone extremely close to them. Vance has lost his mother. Ember her brother who's her identical twin in the triplets that they are. They are gone from their lives for 2 different reasons. They might of lost them in different ways. The struggle is the same.

These two have an instant hate relationship. They can't stand to be near the other one. Yet, they keep finding themselves drawn to each other. They can see the sadness and loneliness in the other ones eyes. They know what the look is because they see it every time they look in the mirror.

Vance and Ember start spending time together. Not all by their choice. Most times it was for reasons beyond their control. What I did like about this book was Vance & Ember's relationship. They became friends over time. The more time they spent together the more they helped the other one out. Over time the respect and love for each other came. Until a secret came out. A secret so big that nobody could fathom. So, instead of facing it head on one took off running.

It's not until years later that they accidentally run into each other. Now, they must decide to either keep running. Or to pull up their big girl/boy panties and own up to their feelings about everything.

This book was beautiful. Just like all the books Beth Michele writes. She makes you really know the characters. Their feelings, their thoughts, their fears. She never rushes a couple together just for the fun of it. My heart was so invested in Vance and Ember. I wanted them happy. Wanted them to live and love their lives. Beth has such a way at pulling me into each and every book.

My heart had broke multiple times for Ember. But, with Vance. OMG, I had more then one ugly cry go down. Thank goodness I was alone when reading this. I knew what he went thru and it killed me. Everything Vance felt it went through me. Beth is known to do this to me every time I'm reading one of he books. This is definitely so much more then a second-chance romance for these two.

I'm putting this out their to Beth. Don't stop with Vance and Ember. Vance and Ember's brother and sister Avery and Julian deserve their stories told. I'm really curious how and why they handled and acted the way they did compared to their bro and sister. Hurry Beth!!
