✯Excerpt Reveal✯The Drifter by Kathy Coopmans

The Drifter by Kathy Coopmans is a heartfelt romance you are going to want to one-click!

Releasing July 11th.

To the outside world, Kray Brooks had it all growing up.
Wealth. The devoting parents.
The beautiful girlfriend.
Good grades.

All of it a lie, except her. The woman he left behind thirteen years ago to try and achieve his real dream... to become a musician.

Life doesn't always go according to the plan you set out for yourself.
Sometimes, you drift. Become lost, lose hope and crash.

For thirteen years he's been drifting wherever his guitar takes him, avoiding his past. Never thinking of his future.

Not once did he think it would all catch up to him. Until it did.

I’m a lonely man. I choose to be this way. I had true love with her. It didn’t matter how old we were, or how young; once you have it, you never let it go. You spend a lifetime together. And I pissed it away. Underlining painful memories have inflicted punishment on my tattered soul for years. Besides Rori and Muriel, those two things are the only constant impressions that have kept me going. If I didn’t feel the need to live with a constant dagger shoved through my heart, I would have let myself whittle away years ago. It’s distressing, to say the least, that the pain I’ve caused is the only thing I’ve let rule my life. I’m living in hell every day, repeatedly burning from the inside out since day one. I will never forget the first time I was rejected in New York, how badly I wanted to call her and beg her to forgive me. I couldn’t do it, and I knew it. I jumped in the shower instead, rinsed off the dirt and grime, then pressed my forehead to the yellow tiles. Hot water beat down my back. I vowed not to cry, even though my heart ached and my lungs felt like they were working overtime to help me breathe. I caved and fell to the shower floor, my fist pounding and beating the wall in front of me until I became numb to the shooting pain filtering from my hands all the way to my shoulders, twining up around my neck until I choked from the lump lodged in my throat. Nausea bubbled up, and I vomited the contents from earlier in the day. The rancid smell left me dry heaving and an oversized human slumped over in the small confinement that the pain from missing her had left me in. When the water ran cold, I lay there shivering, wishing for nothing but her. Once I composed myself, I crawled back up and cleaned and towel-dried off, only to climb into an empty, cold bed, tired and defeated, scared to close my eyes, because when I did, all I saw was her. Several nights I repeated the same thing until the real life nightmares struck me hard, leaving me in this worst shape of my life. For years, I’ve been honest with myself over and over again, saying I deserve every chip and break my heart feels when her birthday or Christmas come around. It’s like this infinite cloud that hangs dormant over my head: dark and gloomy, cold and wet. It will never go away. Now that I’ve seen her, and even though I’m walking back down The Strip with no idea where I’m going, the memories that were once happy become so unpleasant I could easily bleed my life dry. Desperation pools around me. Panic sets in. What if she’s gone and I never see her again?

✯Release Review✯Slow Grind(Men of Mornington Book 1)by Eva Spencer

Only the good die young.
It’s a phrase I wish never existed.
Best mates shouldn’t get cancer, especially terminal at twenty-seven.
And experimental treatments shouldn’t cost a hundred grand. But sometimes life just effing sucked.
Then I got an idea to raise the cash. If a woman could strip her way through uni, we could strip our way to a cure, right? We were attractive Aussie guys, and with the help of Max’s kid sister, we could nail the choreography.
I hadn’t seen Aubrey since she was twelve. She’d gone from a pig-tailed, freckled, tom-boy into the sexiest chick I think I’d ever met. I made a promise to Max to steer clear, but when she was choreographing our routines …
The Men of Mornington were going to heat things up, and things just got a whole lot hotter.

 ✯✯3.5 Stars!!!✯✯

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book. I was freaked out reading this. Because, my younger brother's name is Andrew and he's a welder. He's excellent at his job and is a very good friend to have. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. You're prob wondering why I'm telling you this. Well, here's why.

Aubrey is six years younger then her brother Max. She's been in love with his best friend Andrew. Too bad he just looks at her as a kid and as Max's kid sister. One day she knows it'll change. Aubrey moves from Australia to the U.S after her parents divorce. She keeps in contact with Max. But, refuses to speak to her mother. That was until her mother calls one late night to give her news. Her brother Max's cancer has returned. He had it in his teens and beat it. But, now it;s back. And, he's terminal. Aubrey is taking the first flight back home.

Andrew, now going by Drew can not believe Max's cancer is back. Max is his best friend and he'd do anything for him, Drew works as a welder and is great at it. Drew has excellent friends. They've been friends forever. Sam, Cash, Nash and Drew insist on finding a way to help Max. They are not going to give up. Luckily, they found a treatment that is perfect for Max. Except they gotta come up with just about a hundred grand for travel and everything else.

Drew, Aubrey and the guys will do anything to raise the money to get Max the help. They all decide the guys will do a strip show to raise the money. Aubrey will do the choreography. That's where things get complicated. Aubrey still has a crush on Drew. But, Drew can not believe what Aubrey looks like now. His promise to Max that he'd stay away from Aubrey has left his memory.

I finished this book in one afternoon. I wish I would've known it wasn't a standalone. I thought the next book was going to be another one of these fine guys. But, nope it ended on a cliffhanger. I absolutely love Drew. Talk about a true best friend. He would do anything for his friends. Take time off work, find a way to help Max and learn to strip. OK, so he can't keep his hands off Aubrey..Oops lol. Aubrey is an awesome sister. She leaves college before finals for her bro, comes face to face with her mother and will not give up hope. Max has such an awesome support team. My fingers are crossed he can get help before it's too late.

✯Review✯Unspeakable: An Unacceptables MC Romance by Kristen Hope Mazzola

It’s finally my time…
Everyone has their damn breaking point, why did the president of my MC’s daughter have to be mine? She was everything I wanted, and nothing I could have. Being a prospect was hard enough. Living with my father that I had only known for a few years wasn’t making life any easier. And there I was, ready to jeopardize it all for love. I went to Vilas to figure out where I came from, little did I know that I wasn’t just going to be passing through. This life was pumping through my veins my whole life, I just didn’t know it until I walked into the Unacceptable’s bar for the first time.
Raine Hellock was my kryptonite and come hell or high water, I was going to figure out how to make her mine.

 ✯3.5 Acceptable Stars!!!

Being that I read the first book, I had been wanting to read this one as well. In Unacceptable we started with Cricket stopping at a bar looking for her father. Like that book we start off the same way. Ryder stopping at a bar for a drink not realizing his father is already there.

Ryder finally left his horrible excuse for a mother and went looking for his father. Holt is the Acceptables MC right hand man. Now, Ryder is a prospect for the MC. Holt and Able have taken him under their wings and teaching him everything he needs to know. Ryder is keeping a huge secret from his president. Ryder is madly in love with Able's daughter, Raine. Ryder doesn't want to keep it a secret, but Raine has asked him to for now.

Raine is the sunshine in her father's life. Able wants his kids to have a better life then his MC life. She's going to college and working at the MC bar. Raine loves Ryder. But, knows her dad will not let her date him or any guy in the MC. Raine must find a way to get her father to understand and let them be together.

I loved Ryder. Even though he was still a prospect he was sharp and on his toes. He makes  a vow to himself to prove himself to Able that he's good for Raine. Even if he has to take off his cut and walk away from the MC.

Raine is a strong young woman. She's grown up an MC lady. Now, she wants what she wants. And, that's Ryder. Luckily for her, her stepmother Cricket gets her. It was nice to see her with both Able and Cricket. Raine is still young and with a father like hers, she's trying to do what she wants and not be told what to do all the time. I don't blame her. But, it def can cost her.

I finished this book in one afternoon. Like the first book I wish it was a full length book. But, for a novella type book it was packed. For me with most novellas it felt rushed. Other then that I really liked it.

Tanner Hart, the All-American bad boy bass guitarist of Jaded Regret, has one motto— play women’s bodies like he does the strings of his guitar— hard, in tune, and giving it his all until the show is over. The only strings he wants attached to him are the ones he plays on the stage. He has quite the reputation, even with his own band, and he likes it that way. It keeps the truth of who he really is locked deep inside. But there's so much more to him than anyone really knows… Now that he’s successful, he can afford to find out what really happened to the only girl who’s ever held his heart. The only thing is…will he really want to know the truth? When Mackenzie ‘Mac’ Shepard finds herself in a situation she’s been in too many times before, she expects to do what she’s always done— cover it up, accept the apologies, and move on. She knows trying to get out is futile. What she doesn’t expect is for the world famous Tanner Hart to burst into her life like a knight in sexy armor. When their lives collide and hearts get involved, can Tanner keep his hartstrings from being tangled up in his past, or can he make a new kind of music... with his heart?

 ✯✯5 Heart Breaking Stars!!!✯✯

I knew from the beginning of this series it was going to be awesome. But, I'll admit I was not prepared for Tanner's story. This book can totally have triggers for some people. It is considered  a standalone. But, I wouldn't recommend reading it first. You could be a little lost.

I knew from the prologue that Tanner didn't have any easy childhood. Once Tanner got into Jaded Regret he never looked back. Tanner made a promise to never be that guy he hated and despised the most.

Tanner is the all American bad boy guitar player. Being in Jaded Regret the hottest famous rock band and every concert there's 100's of bras and panties at his feet, waiting for him to choose his bed warmer for the night. In the past few years his fellow band members have started settling down. Not Tanner though.

The nigh Tanner met Mackenzie AKA Mac, their lives were never the same. Mac was in a very unhealthy relationship. Mac feels like there's nothing she can do. That and being  brainwashed doesn't help. Tanner makes a point to be in her life. These two end up as friends. Tanner ends up telling Mac things he never told anybody. Not even his Jaded Regret family. He's the first friend she's had in years. And, first person who actually knows her.

Tanner has never had it easy. He'll never look back. But, there's one thing he'll never overlook or not say anything is when a women is getting abused. Tanner might of started off with that in his mind. But, he wasn't prepared for what happened next. A friendship with with Mac showed Tanner what he'd been missing all these years. Including opening up to his Jaded Regret family.

Mac has been told how to feel, think and act for so long now. That even when she's doing nothing wrong she's led to believe she is. The minute Tanner entered her life it better by the minute. He was great at telling her how great, beautiful and everything else she should've been hearing all her life. Unfortunately, Mac has dirtbag men in her life until Tanner and his friends came into her life. Even Natalie, Bex and April were what she needed.

This story was definitely hard to read at times. But, L.L like always did her homework. She always takes us such intense subjects and does them justice. I love that about her. If Tanner and Mac would've jumped into bed together so fast, it def wouldn't be readable. I was shocked Mac trusted him so fast. But, they say when you know you know and she definitely got it right with Tanner. I have been a fan of L.L's since the beginning. I will continue as long as she continue's to write. And, I'm praying she doesn't ever stop. I am excited fir Natalie's story.

After all, she's merely a pawn in the bigger game. But everything changes when he meets Addy. Suddenly, he'd do anything for his captive.
Can love between a rich girl and a bastard survive without someone losing it all?

 ✯5 Filthy Stars!!!

I knew when I finished Dirty Bastard that I needed the next book immediately. But, man I was so unprepared for what I was getting into. This book can definitely have some triggers for some people. I luckily don't have any.

We start off at the part where Brew & Crank kidnapped Trix & Addy and we go from there. Getting their POV of what happened great. Watching them fall for each other was even more great. Until Brew wants Addy to stay and she tells him no. It's obvious there's more to the story Addy is telling both Brew & Trix. Trix talks Brew into going after her and sees something he's not prepared for. It's not until Trix, Boz and Brew sit down to talk that Brew figures most of it out. And, it's his worst nightmare coming back. Luckily for him he has Boz and his brothers at his back. Because, the last time this happened his family didn't have his back and he spent years in juvie then prison.

Everyone who looks at Addy thinks she got the perfect life and the perfect family. But, it's far from perfect. Addy and her older sister Alex have been tortured and abused by their parents for as long as they can remember. If Alex didn't heart surgery the two of them would've been long gone. Now, their plans are once Alex delivers her son and gets her surgery they're running away. Until Brew stepped into Addy's life.

Brew's family threw him away that awful night and never looked back. But, an unlikely source sent him to the Grim Bastards. Now, he has a family. But, deep down Brew is missing something. When he laid his eyes on the tiny red head his life was never the same. But, when he found out what she'd been going thru he made it his mission to save her and show her what it's like to be loved and safe.

Brew Addy's knight wearing a shining MC cut. He had his demons. But, I feel his brothers in the MC rescued and saved him. Their conversations had me dying with laughter. Then, there were times when no words needed to be passed btwn them to know what was needed. It was great. The way he knew what Addy needed and how to deal with it, was beautiful.

Addy was extremely strong. The things she'd done to protect the one closest to her was both beautiful and stupid. I'm so glad Brew and the guys got there before something seriously happened. Addy was completely herself when she was kidnapped and around Brew. These two met under crazy circumstances. They lived different lifestyles. But, they come from the same life. They're absolutely beautiful together. And, man oh man are they also hot!! Phew! I had to fan myself off a bunch and then grab tissues the next.

This is considered a standalone. But, I will not recommend this to my friends to read this first. And, I won't do it to someone I don't know Def read book one first! I am really looking forward to Smoke's story next.
