Micalea has done it to me again. She's one of the authors that I automatically put their new books on my TBR lists even before they put a blurb on. I been looking forward to this book for awhile now.
Grace Wentworth is off to college. She has decided not to stay close to home. Grace wants to go somewhere that everyone doesn't know her family. She's not the spoiled rich girl that you might think if you know her family. With her father and brothers Grace has never had a boyfriend or been able to do anything without one of them watching. Grace wants to change that. She wants to be a little bad. Luckily for Grace she meets the perfect guy to help her.
Bennett James is a professional hockey player. Bennett got picked up young and he had all the fame, money and woman throwing themselves at him. Bennett let it all go to his head and he's cocky and hockey's bad boy playboy. An accident off the ice lands him benched until he's back to fully healed. It's then Bennett realizes he needs a change or else he'll loose the career he worked so hard for.
Bennett goes to the one guy he knows can get him back in shape and ready to get back on the ice. His college coach. He will have to work harder then anything as well as stay away from the women. Bennett must fix his reputation with the public. Except he runs into freshman Grace and everything changes for them both. Both Grace and Bennett want something. Luckily for them they're perfect for each other.What started out as a friendship turned into something so much more.
At first I didn't think I was going to like Bennett. I can't stand cocky guys. But, Bennett really wasn't cocky. I think because he got signed quick he thought he had to keep up with the rest of his teammates. He lost his way. Bennett was super sweet, caring and truly cared for Grace. He wanted to give her everything he possibly could. All while trying to keep her outta the public eye and safe.
Grace is super caring. Even though she's young she knows what she wants. And, isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes. Even though there was one time I wish she would've gone with her gut, it showed her age. Which I loved.
Micalea has a way of bringing her characters to life. Making me want them as my friends or family members. This story was no different. I loved seeing more Trace and Olivia. Reading what Trace did to Grace at the movie theater has me dying and it reminded me of why I fell in love with Micalea in the very beginning with Trace and Olivia. Can't wait to read what she writes next.
