✯Review✯Chasing the High by Beth Michele

Synopsis

A M/M Contemporary Romance.

Left at the altar. Dumped. Abandoned. Jilted.

That only happened in books. Fictional disasters like the kind I wrote. It wasn’t supposed to happen to me, Sam Stone. My life was supposed to be orderly. Organized. Perfect.

But I had no control over my fiancé’s decision to leave me.

What better place to be alone while nursing my broken heart than in paradise, right? Two weeks of sandy beaches and tranquil waters to quietly rethink my life.

That's what I thought anyway—until Drew Mariano came along and shook everything up. He shook me up.

He made me forget myself. And that was good.

He made me want to take chances. And that was hard.

He made me feel high on life. And that was amazing.

But I was afraid…the higher I got…

the harder

I was going

to fall…

This is a contemporary romance for readers eighteen and over due to graphic language and sexual content.

✯5 Chasing Beautiful Stars!!!

Whenever I get a new Beth Michele book nothing else seems to exist until I finish the book. Chasing the High was no different than all of her previous books I've read. The only difference from all her previous books was this is Beth's first M/M romance. Having read a bunch of them lately, you'd never know it was her first one.

Sam was on his way to Hawaii for his honeymoon and it should be the happiest time of his life. Except he's on his way alone. After his fiancé was  a no-show he figured he'd go without him. While on the flight he's seated next to a major jerk. He's beautiful. But, he's still a jerk. Luckily he only has to sit next to him on the flight.

While Sam is in Hawaii   he plans on working on his next book and relax. Or try too anyway. But, fate had something else planned. Mr.Yummy from the plane is there at the same hotel as him. He learns his name is Drew and is there BC he got dumped and needed to get away for  a bit.

They start spending time together. Drew is getting Sam to do things out of his comfort  zone that he'd never think of doing before. Sam is making Drew feel things he's never felt before. As much fun these two are having together, they are both hiding parts of themselves.

Once their secret about being strictly into guys is out, man these two give into the attraction they have. OMG! These guys are super hot, explosive and perfect together. But,  as perfect as they might be they have their own set of baggage they always carry with them. It's up to them to stay, run away or fight to make it work.

As different as Sam and Drew's childhood was, it was also very similar. I absolutely loved this story. There's only one thing I want. More! Beth has such an incredible incredible way of making me and others connect with the characters and their emotions. And, this was no different. I'm hoping she's already writing her next book. BC, I'm waiting.
