✯Review✯Daylight Follows by Michelle Dare

Synopsis
Daylight Follows is a standalone new adult romance.

Direction and a sense of purpose for her life evaded Daniella Archer. She was in college, but her classes didn’t hold her interest. She had a boyfriend, but never got butterflies when he was near. Her two best friends were her lifelines, the ones who always stood by her. Then tragedy shattered her world and she sunk into a deep depression. She watched helplessly as the rainy sky mimicked her tears and the dark clouds, her mood.

Garrett Ramsey secretly loved Daniella throughout their high school years. When he moved away, he finally put those feelings behind him and moved on with his life, or so he thought. Just seeing Dani again brought all of the feelings he thought were long dead, straight to the surface again. She never saw him as more than a friend, so he didn’t tell her how he truly felt.

Two people, two paths, both missing something significant. Storms swirled all around and the blackness of night seemed to last forever. They dared to hope daylight would follow.

✯✯5 Emotional Stars!!!✯✯

This is not my first book by Michelle Dare and it won't be my last! This was a book that I lost myself in and before I knew it I was finished.

Daniella is in a relationship and going to college. But, there's something still missing in her life. Before she can put her finger on it she gets a phone call nobody ever wants. One of her best friends was killed in a car accident.

Garrett moved after high school and never thought he'd be back. But, when his high school friend died he didn't think twice about going back. He was nervous to see Daniella. Garrett had been in love with her for as long as he knew her. Unfortunately she didn't see him that way.

When Garrett gets to town he learns that she isn't dealing with the loss of their friend well. She's not eating, sleeping or talking to anybody. Her boyfriend is smothering her. It's clear to him she just needs a friend. Somebody to just be there. Lend a shoulder to cry on, talk too or say nothing at all. Thats what he does. When he must leave to go back to work he lets her know he's there for her.

Daniella was glad to see Garrett after so many years. He was just what she needed. He made her feel things her boyfriend never did. She wasn't feeling him before she got depressed after loosing her friend. But, now between his smothering and his anger she does something she should've done awhile ago. Daniella dumps him.

When Daniella goes for a trip she ends up running into Garrett. Things force them to spend more and more time together. They get into a nice routine. While Garrett doesn't want Daniella to leave and she doesn't want to leave either.

There was nothing about Garrett that I didn't like. He really was the perfect guy. He was Daniella's friend in high school and was always there for her when she needed him. Now as an adult he loved her and even though he probably could've taken advantage of her mental state. He still continued to be there for her as a friend and help her before he thought of himself. He's truly the perfect guy.

My heart broke for Daniella. I cant imagine being lost and then loose my best friend. I was glad when she finally started doing things for herself that made her happy. I was even happier when she  and Garrett gave into their feelings. They're perfect together.

Michelle wrote a beautiful story. The way she wrote Daniella's emotional state from worse, bad, better and good was fantastic. She definitely didn't rush anything or make light of it. I'm glad I bought this.

✯Review✯Master's Vlogger by Bink Cummings

Synopsis
It’s been over a year since Master rescued me from the commune. Now, I live my amazing life with the man of my dreams as I pursue my career as a vlogger. The only problem is, as much as I love my master and the life we lead, I’ve sworn off all male friendships aside from Jake’s—our next door neighbor. It’s nothing personal. I just can’t seem to get past… the one thing that tore into my soul and won’t let go. I don’t want to be this way. But I can’t seem to help it…
Will Master find a way to fix what’s been broken?
Or, am I destined to live my life jaded, thanks to a scarred past?
I’m not a damn victim.
If only my brain would get the memo.

Warning: Read at your discretion. This novella contains a plethora of shameless sexual M/M content. Fun plot. Adult F'in language. A smidgen of mushy love. Taboo elements including those of consensual BDSM relationships. And whatever else that makes it unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18.

- Can be read as a standalone, but it is highly suggested you read His Master first for the most enjoyment.
24k Word novella.

- See some of your favorite characters from His Boy and Corrupt Chaos series in this story.

✯✯4 Steamy Stars!!!✯✯

Michael and Cory from Bink Cummings previous book His Master.  This book picks up a year after we last saw them and I guess could be read as a standalone. But, I wouldn't recommend it. Theres a few other guys from a few of Bink's books here.

Cory AKA Master rescued Cory from the commune a year ago. They've been living together and in a relationship. Unfortunately Cory didn't get to Michael before the others did. Since then Cory's noticed a change in Michael and he wants to help him. He gets his friends Jake, Asher, Justin and Bonez to help him him help Michael.

Michael loves his Master and loves their life together. Since him and Master been living together Michael has started Vlogging about being a submissive and their live together. He's got some huge following. When Master takes him for a ride for a surprise Michael's guard goes up. He's not a fan of surprises. He definitely was shocked to see who was there and what Michael had waiting for him.

Even though this was a novella, man did Bink fill it with hotness. There was so much packed into this story. Cory went above and beyond to help Michael. I won't say more about the story. After the scene between Michael and Bonez, OMG I never seen Bonez that way and I'm loving it. I need his story. I'd also love more Michael, Cory, Justin and Asher. Because, I'm not gunna lie they had me sweating. Bink Cummings sure can write!!

✯✯5 Emotional Stars!!!✯✯

OMG!! What a debut book by TJ Rudolph. I was hooked from the synopsis and knew I had to read this. I read it in one afternoon. When you decide to read this make sure you have tissues. You'll need them.

Grace Delaney didn't have an easy life. Her mother took off and left her and her father. Grace's father works mostly out of town for weeks at a time. She didn't have any friends. Then, Aaron Wheeler walked into her life. They became best friends. Aaron said she was his sister. She became like a daughter to his parents. She'd stay with them when her father was away.

Grace and Aaron were planning on going to college together. Grace planned on telling Aaron how she really felt about him. But, Aaron was in a car accident and passed away before Grace got the chance. Grace went into a depression after loosing Aaron. Aaron's parents and her father try to help her. She wasn't going to go to college without him. Then, Aaron showed up encouraging her to go.

Grace goes to college and runs into Chase Ryder. He's from her town. Grace heard of Chase but didn't know of him. She only knows he went to juvi, but doesn't know exactly why. Chase insists he wants to be friends with Grace. Chase finds himself drawn to her  and the need to protect Grace. Chase himself didn't have a good childhood. He'd do anything to forget it.

After Aaron passed away Grace didn't think she'd ever love again. But, she finds herself falling for Chase. Whenever Grace needs advice or needs to talk to someone who really knows her, Aaron comes to her. She knows he's not real. But, Grace will take as much time with Aaron that she can.

Just when Grace was finding some peace and a routine in her life. Her feelings for Chase have grown. Somebody from her past comes  back. Grace has only trusted Aaron with the truth. Grace must learn to trust Chase for them to work. But, then Chase's past comes back and Grace doesn't know if she can forgive him.

This book was beautiful. You'd never know that this is TJ Rudolph's debut book. The way she wrote this story. I was bawling from the very beginning until the very end. 5 stars aren't enough. I can not wait from more from TJ Rudolph.

TJ Rudolph is a financial administrator from Cape Town, South Africa-a beautiful Town placed between the mountain and the sea. She started writing at the age of twelve and has recently taken to writing romance novels. If you don’t find her stuck behind a computer. You will probably find her writing music and playing her guitar... She spends most of her time reading, watching TV series, listening to music or spending time with her kids and husband. She loves all things colorful and is a hopeless romantic in principle.

Excerpt:

ARES
The city stretched up like quartz against the fading sunlight, the colors of the sky deepening with every second that slipped by. Ares’s eyes were on the horizon, slashed with the darkening skyscrapers at the southern tip of Manhattan, but his mind was a thousand years behind him, and her face filled the space in between.
They were Mars and Venus. Man and woman. Ares and Aphrodite. The bond between them was unbreakable, undeniable, no matter how she had tried to reject it, tried to stay away. She’d never quite succeeded. She never would.
Even the gods could not betray the will of the stars.
It had been a hundred years since she warmed his bed, a hundred years of waiting for her. Now they would compete again in a game that mattered little to him. His prize was far greater than a token to be paid for a favor — he wanted her. And for the first time in a very long time, he had a chance to keep her.
Adonis had been in the way far too long — even murdering the human hadn’t removed him from the equation — but now the ground had shifted, tilted in Ares’s favor, and with Aphrodite’s footing unsteady, she would fall.
He would catch her.
This time, he wouldn’t let go.
Ares had already chosen his human player, and soon he would make his way down to the throng of gods who waited for the game to begin. She would be there. She would make her choice, and the fire between them would ignite as it always did — first with a spark, then a flicker. Then, she would be consumed, and so would he.
It would be the same as it ever was, and he was so starved for her, his body tensed from head to heart to heel in anticipation of what was to come.
From a hundred years down to a few days, the distance traveled worth every second of longing, and with every moment that passed, the stars moved closer to alignment and to his favor. And there was nothing she could do to fight it.
He’d see to that.

About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

✯✯4 Hollywood Stars!!!✯✯

Louise Bay has written another great love story. Famous actor whose trying to fix his image. And, the girl next door. She's pretty much been a hermit since running back to her hometown after leaving college.

Lana Kelly went to college in New York City. Her dream was for her jewelry to be in high end stores. But,  then her boyfriend betrayed her worse then Lana ever expected. Lana runs back to Maine without looking back. Now, Lana has her store where she sells her jewelry. Her and her best friend Ruby bought the cottage next door and they rent it out. When a sexy man rents out her place she was unprepared. ESP since he's an A-lister in Hollywood. He's in front of the camera and Lana doesn't want any part of being front and center.

Matt Easton started off as  a model. When he finally made it big in acting he got reckless. The partying and the women got the best of him. He came close to loosing it all and disappointing his parents in the process. Matt has vowed to turn his career around. His team Brian and Sinclair make sure of it. While filming his latest movie, he's enjoying being in Maine. The fact nobody knows him is great. His beautiful, spitfire neighbor who has no idea who he is, thats even better.

Matt and Lana start off as being only friends. Matt doesn't want to ruin anything. ESP his chance at getting a part for a franchise. But, the longer they spend around each other the harder it is. Until, they give in and its better then they ever expected. They push each other to do things. Both want the other to be happy. Even if that means they push their boundaries and do things they never thought they could do.

Matt has never felt this way before. As much as he loves his job and being able to provide for his family, all he wants now is Lana next to him. And not just in the bedroom. He knows she's a private person and he respects it. For her hed give it all up to be with her.

Lana has been burned and she was perfectly OK with her simple life. She loves living in the small town. Lana is happy with her jewelry making. She'd given up her dream of going big with it. Being with Matt is making her want things that she thought she was OK giving up. As much as she loves Matt, Lana doesn't know if she could go public with Matt. She's lucky she has  a best friend like Ruby in her life.

I read this in two sittings. I fell in love with Matt instantly. There wasn't anything about him that I didn't like. My main issue with this book. Lana! Out of ALL the books Louise has written, I dislike Lana outta all the female leads. I felt she was selfish and never gave Matt a real chance. It was all on her terms and conditions. I was glad she finally saw her actions. All in all I really liked it. I'm hoping and praying Ruby gets a book. I really liked her!

Excerpt:

Matt Easton “You have a boyfriend?” She took another sip of wine and set it back on the table before she replied. “You’ve half asked that before.” I chuckled. True. Not that I was going to act differently if she told me—either way I needed to keep my distance. I just wanted to meet the man who had managed to land this woman. “And I’m still coming up empty.” I glanced at the rise and fall of her creamy breasts, only barely covered by her camisole, and swallowed. Hard. I really should leave. “See that?” she asked, pointing up over the ocean. “Lightning. And again.” “Wow, that nearly cut the sky in half.” Our eyes locked first in excited, shared understanding and then the connection transformed into something that had nothing to do with the lightning. She looked away first. I would have stayed, my eyes fixed on hers the whole night, if she hadn’t. “The air feels charged with something.” “I don’t have a boyfriend,” she whispered. It was an invitation, and not one I wanted to turn down. I wanted to touch her, see if her lips were as soft as they looked. “I want to kiss you,” I said, shifting so that she, and not the storm, had all my attention. The thunder rumbled again. Despite the noise surrounding us, I could only focus on the sound of her breathing. My pulse jumped under my skin, at my neck, in my wrists, in my dick. I really shouldn’t be doing this. But it was just a kiss. And she was so beautiful. And then it would be over. I slid my thumb over her bottom lip. “Look at me,” I said. My gaze flickered down as her breasts rose with her breath. It took every ounce of control not to yank her cami down and put my mouth on that warm, soft, pliant flesh. As I looked at her, our eyes locked, and this time heat passed back and forth between us, growing more scorching with each passing moment. She wanted me to kiss her. Maybe even strip her naked on this deck and fuck her hard and long until I knew every part of her. I groaned, blood rushing to my dick, and leaned in to press my lips softly on the corner of her mouth. Her breath was hot and heavy against my cheek. I dropped my hand to her ass and slid her onto my lap. Wrapping my hands around her silky hair that smelled of the ocean, I pulled, tilting her head back and exposing her neck. I’d been kidding myself to think this was just a kiss. I wasn’t sure if it was because it had been so long since I’d fucked someone new or whether it was the storm or just the way Lana looked at me, but my whole body reverberated with lust. I wanted to touch, hold, possess her. I trailed my teeth along her jaw and she squirmed in my lap. I slid my palms up her thighs and lifted her so she was straddling me. Just a kiss. Right. I wanted her closer, so I wrapped my hand around the back of her neck and brought her mouth to mine in a fractured, desperate connection. With my other hand, I pushed her ass against me. The heat of her covered pussy against my erection made me groan. Sliding my tongue against the seam of her lips, I delved deeper. Fuck, I’d forgotten how hot making out could be. The stuff before the fucking. Before my reform, it had been all about release. All about seeing how fast I could have a woman’s mouth wrapped around my cock after making eye contact with her. But not now. Not out here on the porch with Lana. All I could think about was how I couldn’t fuck her, how I’d never make it that far. She smelled so damn good. Tasted even better.
